Headlight Bulbs-Truck

I now have a driving light and a headlight out on my truck so I guess its time to replace. Id like to put in Whites instead of the standard bulbs. I dont want to spend hundreds on true HID bulbs.

Any other cost effective alternatives? I need headlights and driving lights (would like to do DRL's too ) so it must be a bulb that I can get for everything

Also, I want to stay away from the blueish tint look. I want white white

Ideas?

Sylvania Silverstars are the way to go if you don't want to spend a bunch on HID's. They are about $40.00 a pair at most of the auto stores. You may be able to get them for your motorcycle as well. I run these in my car (3 years now) and I like the amout of light they emit. Check it out here:
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...ce/Silverstar/

And here is a $5.00 coupon for you as well:

Taht's the ones. I've run them on my SV all year and loved them so much that the wife's Jetta has them now.

When you buy them just take a look at the bulb itself. If it has a blue tip on it, you picked up the wrong one. The right one will have a grey tip and will make bright white light instead of the annoying blue.

Ok, I'm bored....so..
Here is a pic of the bulbs in the bike. The small marker lights are still stock, and that is what the stock headlight bulbs looked like.

And here is the package. Don't let the name fool you, they are pure white light.

Silverstars ONLY, cool blues are just that blue. Silverstars are the ONLY bulb I will run in my bikes and cars. Just ask around people who know my headlights will say they are bright...Oh wait there never anyone in front of me...

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Have to disagree with you there.
Mine aren't blue at all. See the pics.

And Mike, sorry for the confusion. I forgot they were the cool blues in the bike, but our Jetta definitely has the Silverstars. Great lights.

At certain parts stores I've seen the silverstars packaged in a pair for $30 so that will save you $10 at least...

I need to get some for my car's fog lights...the regular bulbs look even MORE yellow when compared the HIDs for the headlights.

I love the Silverstars. Had them on my Taco, then when I traded it in, I put the standards back in and put one in my bike and the other in Paulette's. Just waiting for the standards on the Titan to go out and I'll put silverstars in it as well.
