Riding Today!

I'm sittin here freezing cold...(it was like just above freezing here today) but with a HUGE SMILE. It's the first time that I have seen the sun in two weeks. And I haven't ridden in at least 2 months. Full leathers, race boots and gloves and a helmet. Three hours worth of riding in today. I even got to wave at the ice fishers on the lake near my house. I hate Iowa...I can't wait for the spring. First ride of the year on January 7th. New record for me. Anyone else ride today?

I tried. I really gotta get around to putting the choke cable on the R1 . Probably could've gotten one of the other bikes to start but they're not insured over the winter . I'm really itching to ride.

I got back on the horse yesterday. After lowsiding and breaking my clavicle Oct 15, 2005, there were times I was not sure I wanted to ride again. Well I got back on the horse yesterday for a cruise around town and it was nice. Heated grips kick ass!

It was a nice day for myself and my 21 year old K100S. I just returned from doing a nice long run to the Rock river. I did my usual loop, Dixion to Rockford and then generally home. I probably saw a dozen bikes on the road. Apparently today was a sport touring day. I think several were ST's and a few FJ1300's too. I saw several "cruisers" parked in groups by taverns. They must have the same route plan year round. Looking ahead at the weather this coming week, I may get a few more days in.

If I wasn't going out of town again, I would be on two wheels instead of four, no problem. No worry about ice or anything. Great day for riding!

So I have been going thru some shit lately and today was the first time I had been on the bike since october. I LOVED IT!!!!! I got off and felt SO good!! I felt like I was high. All of a sudden all the non sense I have been going thru doesn't even seem important or like i even need to address it.

I agree Chigirl, thats exactly how I felt. Cruising down the interstate at a buck seems to really clear my mind. I felt really free after I got back.

well did 50 miles myself, came back picked up the wife did another 70 with her.

then was rocking the fiddy around the neighbor hood and tearing up my back yard, one of my neighbors came out with a bat, cause they thought it was kids tearing up my lawn, then took off my helmet and we all started laughing

Sorry to hear about all the stuff you've been going through. I have to agree though, that's why I love riding so much. Nice bike Chigirl I rode for only 30 minutes yesterday and about an hour today. I had a great time and the weather was awesome.

Got out yesterday. Cruised through DT Naperville, then out through Bolingbrook. My engine seems to be running lean cuz it got pretty hot even though it was only 37 out. Tue-Thur looks like it'll be nice.
