Ebay issue

I remember quite a debate on this tpoic a while back, so I figured I'd get some input first.

I won an auction on 12/24 for a $40 item. I paid immediately via paypal. I've sent multiple emails to the seller since and I haven't received any response or confirmation.

He has only 17 positive feedback response, and no negatives.

The seller has had ample time reply to your message. It is time to file a claim with PayPal and Start the Item not Received process on eBay. Show no mercy.

send him a message via ebay

I sent a money order during the holidays to a guy in illinois. It took two weeks for it to get to him. So now i have a dispute on my record right now.

seems to me people dont communicate anymore and just clicking dispute.

I would get his info from ebay, and give him a call. thats what i would do first.

Without looking into it myself, I would give 30 days. I think ebay will not even allow for disputes prior to the 30 day mark, and paypal is 45. Either way, paypal and ebay have mechanisms in place to get your money back. I would wait a bit, and if you still do not get it, file a dispute with ebay/paypal.

I got two disputes in less then 2 weeks. I think the 30 day mark is to tell ebay the person is a big time dead beat.

the dispute is for the buyer and seller to workout the procedures by using ebay as the interface instead of emails.

Just file it thru paypal. I did that and got all my money refunded. Then the seller contacted me and apologized and sent the items for free to avoid negative feedback.

Jeff....fire him a message thru ebay, like everyone suggests, give him 24 hours to respond, if he doesn't, start the ebay/paypal process. The excuse of going on vacation is total BS, if an idiot like me can check for messages on the road, anyone can. I would never put anything on ebay if I was going to be away for an extended period. Last year, I had this guy pull the same stunt on me. I bought the item 3/24 he had not shipped by 4/21, sent him various emails. He responded to one saying he was on vacation. I replied fine ship the item send me a tracking number....no response....took me till 6/15 to get my money back.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

+1 Let paypal handle it, dont even file with EBay, they are the same database now anyway, and this will put a hold on the funds in his paypal account.

+1 Nobody who gives a rip about his Ebay future would put stuff on Ebay a week before going on vacation. And 17 positive feedback is probably enough. I don't even think I've got that much..
