This is WHY you dont run from the police and wear your seat belt.

3 teens died in a car crash near Sun Prairie, WI last night. Only 1 survived because she clicked her seat belt on at the last moment.

Sad thing is, I can see lawsuits getting planned already.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

I made my 17 year old son read that story, today's is his birthday, I told him I want to make 18. In September he had a friend killed hill hoping in Barrington Hills. I hate preaching, because I was no angel myself, and he knows it. He's had his license for a year, and no violations, wish I could say the say the same when I was his age

Wow. That sucks. You'd think that such a competent driver as he was, that he'd have a little more common sense than to run, down a road he'd never been down before.

Alcohol is never a good idea when driving... especially in a modded "sports" car. My friends and I all have stories about driving home drunk, which, I'm glad to say, are all hilarious... which is much better than sad. They are all definitely stupid - and I am very grateful that no one was hurt from our shenanigans. Thankfully... we're all a bit smarter now, and choose not to drive after we've had a few...

Sucks that those kids had to learn the hard way.

That's sad.

Can happen to anyone if you don't know the roads, and you're driving too fast for conditions. His skill and lack of fear from racing might have made it worse.

It's really sad that all of them might have survived, maybe even walked away like that girl if they simply wore their seatbelt. Just like helmets on a motorcycle.

Just thought that was worth repeating in case anyone missed it the first time.

What I find strange is, all the good race car drivers I've known back in SCCA LEFT their 'lack of fear' at the track. Wasnt to many that went FLYING on public roads with a car load of people. To top it off, I never heard of this kid in any of the road racing/kart motorsports publications.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
