DAMN Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse!

I placed an order at MAW last month for a set of tires (Dunlop D205 120/70/17 and 150/80/16) and turn signals, after placing the order they call me up to say that the front tire is out of stock and they won't be getting anymore (they have been replaced by the D220). I was upset but decided to look elsewhere for the front.

Two weeks later I'm on eBay and I find a set of 97 D205s for sale from MAW in an auction; this pisses me off even more (because they lied to me), but I swallow my pride and buy the tire. It should have gotten here last week, but today in the mail I get a letter saying "The item you ordered is back- ordered, this order will be cancelled in 60 days", WTF is that? They took my money for the tire, they don't bother calling me and 5 days after the tire was supposed to have arrived, they send me a little note saying Hey, tough shit buddy.

I called up their customer service and told them cordially that they have a contractual obligation to provide me with that tire at that price. I told them to buy one from Dennis Kirk and ship it to me, the cust. service rep wasn't pleased by that comment. Anyway, this is the 3rd bad experience I've had with MAW so be cautious before you buy from these jokers .

One last tire question, would I be able to run a D220 up front and a D205 out back?

You shouldn't have any problems running 2 different tires, really. As long as you aren't on the track or something. I am pretty sure I'm running a stock Dunlop on the front of my 10R and I've got a 180 Diablo Corsa on the back.

As to the MAW situation, that sucks. I've dealt with them in the past and they have always been great. Quick shipping and fixed problems immediately.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I have ordered once from MAW....shipping did take a couple days longer than from neenough.com but I did get everything that I ordered no hassle....never had to deal with customer service so can't comment on that....
Recently I have heard complaints about them on other forums too so maybe the management changed or something.

You had 2 bad experiences before this and you still ordered? WTF

Fool me once shame on you.
Fool me twice shame on me.
Fool me thrice?

looks like MAW sucks?

late last year ordered:
Cortech Tri Bag Tank bag
Cortech sport saddle bags
Cortech sport tailbag
an extra magnet mount
gear indicator for the Gixxer
plug-n-play harness for digi (gixxer)
The stuff arrived almost 1 piece per week. Then I had to argue that I never received the plug-n-play harness and the tail Bag (they said they packed and shipped)

Took almost 2 months to receive my completed order-SCARY!

I've run two different types of Dunlops on my Gixxer after taking a nail on a tire with less than 200 miles (ouch) and had no problems in over 10k miles
