I need a jigsaw puzzle alarm clock

I think my record for hitting the snooze is about 8 or 9 times. This might just make it much much easier to get up in the morning.

http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadget...-up-157999.php

"If you’ve snoozed through one-too-many alarms and then way overslept, Bim Bam Banana’s Puzzle Alarm Clock will give you a quick intelligence test that is bound to wake you up before it will stop its incessant honking. As soon as you can assemble the four puzzle pieces that are popped up into the air at your predesignated time, the thing will finally shut up. That should be just enough commotion to assure that you won’t go drifting back into la-la land. You’ll pay $52 for that privilege."

I would never pay money for that.... just unhook your snooze button. Or put your alarm clock across the room

Or wake up when the alarm goes off. It's called self-discipline... seems to come up a lot lately.

Damn, I actually thought about writing myself an alarm program that made me solve some sorta math problem to turn off the alarm and hook it up to a laptop, but then gave up that idea when I realized I would most likely just turn the speakers off. If only I had thought to turn it into a retail consumer-whore item like this, I'd be rich! Or completely broke, who knows?

Does hitting the snooze button so many times that it stops going off count?

I have an extra alarm by the sink in the master bath if I really need to get up.

You know what? I really don't like your attitude mister!!! If people were supposed to get up when the alarm went off then why would god have created a snooze button? Think you better check the good book and you'll see that I'm right.

I was wondering why no one said anything about my post. We are all human and even I hit my snooze bar twice in the early morning (when I have to get up at 3:30am). My gf hates my alarm and will sometimes yell at me to stop hitting the snooze.

I understand Biggy, it is tough to get up early, as I have posted in a poll before. Like Chills says, when the clock buzzes, I get up. I absolutely hate the sound of my alarm clock, so I am forced to get up.

I do 2 snoozes every morning, my body needs to awaken slowly. I just hate when my arm is asleep and I go to hit the snooze but my whole arm just flops on the table and knocks crap everywhere.

I never hit the snooze. I am use to the military way so once it goes off I am up. Just to make sure, my alarm clock is on the other side of the room.

OMG I hate your alarm clock Biggy.. seriously time to get a new one! So annoying...
I never hit the snooze.. if I do I know I won't get out of bed then for another 30 mins at least.... Sucks!
My clock is right next to my bed as well... so it's not like I have to get up and walk to it to turn in off. I like that...

Bikes can be replaced...people can't...ride safe!!

Yeah, it's true doing a puzzle like that will wake you up in the morning. Take me for example. When I wake up in the morning, I have to think what is the name of the girl laying next to me that I fucked the shit out of last night? Did she bringing any friends? And are they still sleeping next to her on the other side? Did I say we were gonna do it all over again this morning before I go to work?

After figuring it all out it is hard to go back to sleep. Doing puzzles like that really will wake you up in the morning.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

I have to use two alarms to get up. One traditional alarm clock and then my cell phone. I have a tendency to be able to turn off my first alarm in my sleep. I'm starting to be able to do this with my cell. Putting it on the other side of the room doesn't help. I would just sleep through both of them.

I'm using a super-cheap windup alarm clock right now, with no snooze, but it doesn't matter since I rarely use the alarm. All it does is to shake me up, get me to slap the thing frantically until it shuts off, and go back to sleep.

Got the clock radio set on light rock music, and that works pretty well: nice and gentle, very pleasant, until a really stupid song or ad comes on. Then it's probably the second or third best motivation in the world.

This wouldn't help me any. I am the queen of the snooze button, and have the special power of being able to sleep through the alarms.

Instead of a jigsaw puzzle, I would need one of those "no left turn" mazes

I saw an alarm clock that was attached to the ceiling. Everytime before bed you would pull the clock down, and whenever you hit the snooze button the clock would raise up, making it harder for you to hit the button, which in turn makes you get up to turn it off.
