phone systems again!!!!!!!1

i am opening a mortgage company in the next few months, more than likely about 4 months. i have been looking, mostly on ebay, for a phone system for about 20 people, and expandable to about 40 or so. i need it on the cheap and i dont know what voip is... can someone who knows, fill me in on how much it will cost, whats good, how much and who will install it on the cheap, and most importantly,on the side? cant afford to pay a big company. at least i dont think i can... let me know.

Call D$S Communication in Elgin and let them know what do you want and need and they should take care of it. They resale Erickson, Nortel, Avaya and many other PBX systems. They can hook you up.

This one is definitely cheap. Install doesn't look that bad either. Expandable too.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

For a little while we had a small office with 8 employees in NY. Bought a new Vodavi system for about $3200 for everything including extra voice mail module. Pretty easy install too. When the office closed year and a half later we sold it for about $1200 used. I say try used if possible.

yes you are opening a can of worms here... any time you start a business, you want to get the most you can for the least amount of blood sweat tears and money. when you buy bike parts, do you buy the most expensive thing out there? or do you look for a deal? just like anything. i always look for a deal first, then if i have to, i bite the bullet.

when considering a phone system, consider it's maintence costs as well. You might find a used system out there, but if you don't know how to configure it / install it, you will probably still be up the preverbial creek without a paddle. Used is a good option only if you have a qualified technican ready to install it...

PM me if you dont get this sourced. A buddy of mine has a few Toshiba stratus systems and he is an installer. They are PBX systems, but can be hybrid'ed into VOIP solutions if need be. Dont know if hes got the voice mail system though.

Let me know via PM, with the details as far as location and such, as well as your budget. I will contact him and see if hes interested, if so I will put you two in contact directly.
