I-88 Crash this morning?

Did anyone pass the really bad crash on i-88 this morning around 8 am? It was on the west bound side maybe 300-500 yards past the Naperville Road entrance.

Traffic was horrible. When i got there, there was an IDOT Snowplow being towed away with a shit load of mud caked on the plow. There was one of those semi trucks with the 2 trailers being towed away as well. The trailers were seperated and quite a distance apart. One of the trailers was compacted like an accordian and was probably 1/3rd to 1/2 the original length. The cab of the semi was demolished with the roof collapsed in and litterally the right half of the cab was ripped off.

If i had to guess i would say the truck as either stopped on the shoulder or something and the plow barrelled into it at high speed. the plow looks to have done all the damage since the truck the plow was attached to had no visable damage.

i have looked all over the news sites to see if i could get any info and none of them have anything.

anyone know what happened or have a link?

I drove right past it this morning going to work. I would agree with your assesment of what happened though.

Seen it going over the overpass of I88. Got a glimpse of the mangled Fed Ex Semi. Wicked wreck.
