Bought the kid a fiddy

OK, so I bought my 7 year old a PW50 for Xmas. How long should I wait to 'borrow' it from him?

Side note, my son is fairly tall for 7. The PW50 looks kind of small on him, but the guy at CCC said kids up to like 12 I think, should ride 50's. The 80 looked more his size, but would it have been too much power? I figure he could ride the 50 for a while, just to see if he even likes it, and maybe move up to an 80 later.

Let us know how he likes it, I'm also getting my son one for his 8th birthday.
