New Job!

Got the call yesterday I've been hired as a contract paramedic for Tri-State Fire Protection District. I interviewed at the department on tuesday and everyone was cool. Should get some good experience and get sent to the fire academy

Thanks guys this is the last step before being hired somewhere as a "Career" firefighter/medic. In the mean time they're going to put me through fire academy and I'll get some good experience. I know a career guy on the dept. now and they see some good accidents on rt. 83 and on I-55. Beats the hell out of nursing home calls

Congratulations, Nick. One step closer to being a firefighter.

definitely a nice raise but it's not anywhere near the career guys yet.. this is more to get as much experience/training as possible. There are a few people ahead of me but it sounded like I'll be going to the fire academy this time next year.
