I gave one of those a test ride a few months ago out of morbid curiosity. You know how sad I am on a skateboard? Well that was nothing compared to my performance on this thing.

They're ridiculously unstable (no flat riding surface) and crazy heavy. Looking at those pictures was amazing. I couldn't even ride the thing in a straight line much less try stunnin.

I would like to have some more time on it to see how well it slides around a-la snowboarding...but I think the amount of skinned knees required to get to that point is a bit prohibitive.

I would like to try out a mountain board at some point though. Those things look like a blast. They have races with the motorized ones in Europe. Run em on motocross tracks with the berms and big 'ol jumps. I'll try to find some vids on that. Looks like a swell time.

You gonna pick one of these things up and go tear around Burnam?

I just saw one of those at Sportmart in Orland.

Very strange, very heavy.

Might as well. You rip on that thing anyway! Just remember, I still have 10 years to learn how to ride like you...

When those knees of yours recover lemme know and we'll head up to the indoor parks to scare/entertain all the little rippers.
