First Home Ė I'm moving

Long overdue, the wife and I purchased our first home and are moving out of the city to Minooka. We're .5 miles from I80 and about 15 min. from the Metra in downtown Joliet where our wonderful daily commute will begin. On the plus side I wonít be as far from Starved Rock.

4 Bed, 2.5 baths, and a partially finished basement. 1 month away from completion itís starting to take shape.

A few pictures

Just a bit of advice if I may...... Do the garage the way you want it first cause once ya get in there, you will fill it with stuff so fast. It will be a pain to take it all out and put it in the driveway to hook it up..

Do search in here for Shadrach garage project & Tony did some stuff too. There is a few others aswell.

I say do the paint walls first, hook up shelves and cabinets, then do the floor either paint it with a kit or floor like Shadrach's....

Congrats and good luck beer & pizza will draw many helpers.. and you are in the start of the season too... Your neighborhood will love the rockets in front of the house, the kids will love ya....

Congrats, and welcome to the hood, I'm 10 minutes north of ya. It is nice out here, you dont have to ride for an hour just to get away from traffic and too a decent road.

although, there is a serious lack of good pizza out here, so be ready for that.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

It's a nice house and all, but that front yard looks like shit!

This is the view from our master bedroom. The fences where put up by the builder. The lake in back is on one personís private property.
