Abandoned bike options

I friend of mine has been storing his friends bike in his garage for more than a year now. He now wants the thing out of his garage. The thing is they no longer talk. My friend who will call nice guy. has been trying to contact his friend who will call lazy. Lazy hasn't returned phone calls and has blocked nice guys IM account. I'm going with lazy doesn't want anything to do with nice guy any more. So what are his options to get lazy's bike out of his garage? The bike dosn't run and leaks oil. No it's not a harley. Nice guy isn't even sure where lazy lives anymore.

I'm not short. I'm aerodynamically efficient.

Send lazy two registered letters, with a return signature card so you have proof he recieved them, if no response after he recieves those, apply for a mechanics title from the state.

tow truck drivers do it all the time with abandoned cars.

Call the police to see what they say has to be done. Can always drop off at Lay's Parent's House.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

+1 with Tony. Drag the bike to a shop, and have them put a mechanics lien on the bike.

Without immediate action, they will re-title the bike and Mr. Nice can either take possession, or sell it to the shop less fees.

Just send the letters that Tony mentioned to last known address, just to be in the clear. You can even take out a little add in local paper, just like when someone is trying to get a divorce and can't find the ex, as long as the add runs for I believe 6 weeks with no response, your showing just cause and due diligence. Then Grasshopper can come get it for ya if ya dont want it.

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

Key is to keep records of all you did. So when Lazy finally comes around, you wont have any issues or beef...

You took the time to proceed like an adult and Lazy cant bring any heat to you.....

Good Luck
