From my experience, SF is the best - I had Farmers and then they droped Sport Bike Covg so I went to SF and have been happy as can be - I got guy too if anyone is interested - I am trying to get him to sponsor the board too

State Farm - Kaw Z1000...i've also had an F4 and 1000RR insured with them...same price for 600cc and over.

...absolutely 100% happy with State Farm and my agent Hugh Masterson in particular...i had the F4 stolen...absolutey zero problems, full payout on the 30th day (which is the required wait time for a total loss claim on a stolen vehicle to see if it is recovered.)

I am an agent with Country Insurance & Financial (aka Country Companies) in Bartlett. If anyone is interested in a quote for car, bike, house and life insurance give me a call at 630-926-2212. Have had a lot of people come to me from State Farm and Allstate recently and switching to me. Allstates rates have gone up quite a bit i hear.

Ken, I'll be calling you soon about getting me on as a sponsor liked we talked about.

I am an agent for Farmer's Insurance. I have my bike written with our subsidiary company Foremost Insurance. I find that rates are all over the place with sportbikes and they change on a fairly regular basis. It's usually smart to shop them every year or two.

The target market for Farmer's is 25 year old plus, good credit history, 1 ticket or less in the last three years, married, home owner, life insurance customer. We now offer discounts for Alumni members, fire fighters, police officers, engineers, doctors/nurses of as much as 15%. We rock in that market.

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

I'm not trying to diss SF because the agent is the biggest factor here, but this is rarely the case with them. Usually the girl answering the phone changes every year or two and getting the actual agent on the phone is next to impossible. Is this a Texas agent or an Illinois agent?

I know several SF agents and every damn one of them avoids phone calls like the plague. They actually get mad at their staff when they let calls through unless the customer threatens to leave. One of them told me the hardest part of the job was getting his customers used to dealing with his staff and not him.

my agent is in Dallas. I got him b/c at the time I thought I was moving there. When I didn't move there, I stayed with him b/c he was really so nice and good to me. I had my car and renters with him, and when I wanted to insure my 250 with him, he told me it would be too expensive and referred me elsewhere. When I got the f4i, he had the best rate so I signed on. He rides, too, so that is a nice touch.

If I want to call him directly, he answers his phone about 90% of the time. And, to top it off, I am looking at the birthday card he sent me right now. In his own writing it says
"Alison, have a great birthday. Enjoy this spring weather on your bike!

Sounds like you got a great agent! Congrats!

Illinois is the home state for SF and Allstate so things are usually a little different around here, but of course each agent is different.

Yeah my agent gew up in Bloomington and then relocated to Dallas and became and agent. I think he relocated due to his wife's job. Anyway, he knows I'm from IL, too. But I think he's just good anyway.
Anyone want a good SF agent, I can give you his name. Although, I don't know if you can use an out-of-state agent??

Have had my bike with them since May 2000. I was not aware of them stopping. I wonder if they'll cover a new purchase or not as an existing member.

i was told that if you had a policy "in effect" (no lapse in coverage) when they stopped covering bikes, then you would be good to continue being covered. this was april of last year when i found this out. they may still honor you.
