Trippin on LSD

You know I meant Lake shore drive. On my hour long walk from addison to fullerton and back on the lakefront trail (yeah I'm slow on foot). I saw no less than 30+ bikes cruising / racing up the drive. 1/4 of which were wearing helmets or any kind of gear (other than that to keep warm). Apparently I learned that cruisers believe that a leather bandana is the same as a helmet. I learned that apparently the drive is a good place to learn 2nd gear power wheelies unsucessfully (as witnessed by the same two people going north and south) and I think I got the jest of the squids you all speak of when a GSXR allstare 600 passed by with the guy in full gear minus a helmet (sorry if that's you, but come on!!). I'll never understand the lack of a helmet but that's just me, the best was the couples out for a ride both without helmets, hey at least explain to your passenger / girlfriend (in this case) the effects of a gaurd rail or, on the Lsd a bmw to your uncovered head and let them choose. Anyway just a rant because it's a beautiful day and I got no bike. Also my living room window has a perfect view of the drive, so as I search the forum all I see is you guys driving by

I'll admit I have puts around the city without a lid and the wind noise just drives me crazy - A few times up to Players for Dinner without touching the hwy I may go lidless but if I am going to break 40 mph then I goes with a lid

Call me a squid I guess but putsin around DT without a lid does happen for me from time to time

There's a notable diff between putsin around and driving in LS traffic, which as I've seen averages 60 mph with crazy cagers all around. I think we've all gone for a short jaunt without the helmet. I just don't make a habit of it.

The best I saw today was:
Mr COOL DUE in nice white tennis shoes, blue button up with a wife beater under(of course while he was on 55 his whole back was out), the sleave rolled up 3/4 of the way and the front of the shirt of course was buttoned down at least 2 or 3 buttons (similar to the way WSE wears his shirts) and a white shell necklace on a Blue R1 with no plates riding down LSD. Mind you by this time it was only about 50 degress I just hop the kid doesn't end up in the hospital with phemonia.

I know he was more than cold but he wasw holding his head high like he wasn't even the least bit faded by the cold.

Hmmm irrevelant, spontaneous, gratuitous reference to wSE. My plan of seduction is ahead of shedule.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

It is OK for a man to cry right?
