I hate waiting

I hate waiting. I have had three interviews and they are all checking references because my peeps told me they called and they are either playing phone tag or busy and not calling back. I have one that wanted one more reference and they have not called them yet it has been two days, and they told me before this reference that they were very interested in me for the teaching position. Just hire me already!!! I really want to teach next year again and don't want to go back into the cubicle world again if I don't have to. Yes, I am impatient, especially when they tell me that they like me.

Waiting sucks! Good luck with the teaching position. You'll have to post up as soon as you find out.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

2 Weeks is pretty typical. Just think Marlene......They are probably drinking a cup of coffee looking at your resume, comparing it to the other candidates, made a descision to hire you, BUT laughing about how long it will take you to call.

One piece of advice. Dont be OVER anxious and dont be non-chalant.

Did you do a follow up letter?

If not-- a follow up letter is a great tool! Just a quick letter letting them know you appreciate their time and effort in the hiring selection. Also mention how much you would LOVE to work in such a fine establishment.

Its a great way too find out where they are. It helped one of my Engineers i have now get this job.

+10. Very useful and Ive always liked people that came back to me via mail or email to do this.

Best of luck to you. Both my parents were teachers/principals. My dad retired several years ago, and my mom retires this year. It takes a special sort of person to do that job. You have my respect.

Yes, I emailed everyone involved a thank you note as soon as I got home. I just hate not knowing if I have a job in a few months or not.
