Best Jobs article

Something I stumbled into today. And now I will close my CLSB window and not open it for a MIN of 1 hour.

No offense to anyone in particular but are you kidding???!!!

4. Human Resources Manager

8. Real Estate Appraiser

I get #8 with the housing boom of late but HR?! Decide what insurance and bennies we get and who to hire and fire with no experience in that field. I love when HR hires more IT salespeople because they looked good on paper. HR is an evil necessity but someone needs to watch them and what they feel they should get paid.

Remember when sex was safe and racing was dangerous?

well they didn't judge the jobs on one metric alone. it was a combination of pay, advancement, flexibility, creativity, etc. For example, college professor ranks really high-- but for some (like me) that job ranks totally low, because to me, independence is something i do NOT look for in a job.

It's all realtive. Notice how jobs like "lawyer" and "physician/surgeon" rank below many more ordinary jobs. The stress WAY outweighs the perks/pay, according to this scale.
