Dear Mr. Bush

Dear President Bush:

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S.into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.

I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Presidente Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put U.S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the Mexico to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure
that President Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail
hunting with your V.P.

Thank you so much for your kind help.

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

I'd love to see FoxNews do a segment where they have all the illegals they can find that have all their healthcare for their entire family paid for, don't pay any taxes, and have nice jobs and whose kids get fed breakfast and lunch at school.

I'm all for it.. Let's find them. That only asking for 3 out of 14 things.

Shouldn't be that hard, now is it? Can anyone on this board find any?

Hmmm... Mexico isnt a country that was built on the backs of immigrants like ths US was. Its funny how this is such a big issue now when this stuff has been going on for years and no one gave a serious long term look abt doing anything about it, including this govt for the last 4 years. Lou Dobbs is one smart feller.

Simply put, I don't think United States can survive and maintain the same level of economy without cheap labor such as illegal imigrants.

Arch> Are you implying that there is not a significant economic burden imposed on the US taxpayer for social services provided to undocumented imigrants? Don't get me wrong, I am very aware that there are many other issues that should also be addressed in an effort to reduce said burden, but I am asking for your opinion on this one.

I will give you a qualified answer, because it deserves one.
I believe they are not a significant burden when one factors in the cheap labor put into the marketplace and nets it out across the board.

If someone wants to post actual costs, I'll come up with the other side of the coin and round up best guess labor versus what it would cost companies to have done it above the board.

Then we can net the 2 figures together and see just how much of a burden it is and how much Americans are being 'victimized'.

What he said. Someone in these news programs needs to come up with costs if these folks DIDNT do what they do. Then run those numbers factored out to pricing on products that WE buy on store shelves, restaurants etc... I havent seen anything done in that regard. Only thing I've heard is about how much they are costing us. Not how much life would cost us if they werent around.

Companies that are hiring illegals should be made to pay a hefty fine. What upsets me is when citizens are pushed aside because they must be paid the minimum wage when illegals will work for even less.

Now you may say that it's only supply and demand, but then that would conflict with the liberal Democrat idea that there should be a fair minimum wage. How can there be a fair, livable minimum wage if there will ALWAYS be someone who is willing to work for less?

I didn't say that the "average American" makes that much money. I said that it was an average household income. That's not at all the same thing.

You can find links that provide estimates from $59,000 all the way up to $73,000.

edit: but, you're probably right, I'm sure the Mexicans make more money than we do... I just can't understand why they cross deserts in 110 degree heat to leave their utopia

Should we make them re-do their earnings reports and take nice 1-time charges to the books for the historical differences, re-state all previous earnings which is what stock prices, bonuses, IPO prices, stock grants and options are based on? Hmm.. if they're overstating revenue due to illegal activity and profiting from it in the market with executive bonuses, stock price jumps, etc.. Hmmmmm... I smell some SEC fun in the near future...

In the case of private companies... I'm sure lieing to bank officials would be a good one when the small/medium sized business appied for those loans that they had to sign affidavits that their financials were accurate and complete to qualify for their interest rate.... Yes, this would be fun indeed.

Ut oh.. parts of Chicago too where most people are speaking Polish or Italian...then there's New York, Florida, etc. etc.

Wow, one would almost think that the sum of the parts is what makes up the whole of America... Start F*ing up the parts, and you're killing the whole.

ok....as a gulf war vet myself...and having another friend com back with gulf war syndrome and another almost losing his life in the current war against terror....

im all for locking up our borders due to the simple fact that we need better security...the terrorists got in ...ILLEGALLY....now dont get me wrong...sure what the illegals are doing out in the southern part of the country and throughout the U.S. is cheap labor...it still doesnt change the fact that they are ILLEGAL aliens...unless u have native american in your bloodline...then more then likely, your family came over here LEGALLY...i work for my parents company, and when we have brought in temp labor from a temp agency to do physical labor at our work...there were a few that were for sure illegals...by the way they acted, and did things...dont ask me to get into specifics cause some of it would gross u out...

as a vet...i have NO PROBLEM with others comming to this country to make a much better life for themselfs...but comming into the U.S. illegally, not having car insurance and getting into hit and runs, taking jobs from other people that can not support thier familys, putting a burden on our healthcare system (for free) along with so many other aspects, is not fair to this country as a whole...the people to blaim for high rates of pay, issues with job hunting and getting jobs and health care costs can be blaimed on corporate america, white collar and union blue colars...unions are forcing companies to boost up thier prices...which in turn pushes that company to outsource its buisness overseas, which then costs other AMERICANS to lose thier jobs to india, or mexico (oh the irony)....and dont tell me i dont know what im talking about with the outsourcing...CAUSE IT HAPPENED TO ME.....there is alot of good things to talk about in this thread now...but this can get really out of control...so i wil tell you what to all those people that think that allowing illegals to stay and continue to come into this country....

outsourcing is a huge issue right now...by taking my job and sending it overseas, they were able to get people that dont know dick about this country, and how some things work, but are able to get 10 people to replace me for just me....is that fair to a gulf war vet...NOPE...but hey...i have no control over it...cause im just 1 person...god fucking forbid...that this actually happens to some of those people on this board that are standing by allowing illegals to continue taking jobs...and to those that still dissagree...then do this...try living on HALF YOUR PAY FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF....then see how well you do....the only reason im surviving if cause im smart with my money...and im single...god forbid some of you with familys have to go what i just went through....

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!
