Title transfer, I need prices...

Has anybody done this lately? I tried searching and didn't find what I needed. If I remember correctly, tax is flat $25, plates are $48 and title transfer is $65? Can anyone update this and give me the correct info? Also, if anyone lives in the city, what is the city tag go for? Can I get it anywhere or do they have to special order the medallion?

People take these things too seriously!

I only have the info for Michigan, but it might be similar... (since no one else has replied.)

Title Transfer was 18, plate was 35. Now City would cost you more, I do know that.

Is they still do medallions for bikes in the city? I never switched my registration to the address I'm at now. I was gonna do that next week. I forgot about the city sticker (or the medallion)

The bikes I have seen around have medallions. I wish they would just go with a sticker on the fork or something like that. I hear the medallions get stolen all the time.

I've never had a medallion stolen but I didn't park overnight on the street either. I think I paid $45.00 for my medallions but I haven't lived in the city in 3 years. I personally liked the medallion, a badge of urban honor.

$3 currency exchange fee with no waiting, Priceless.

Disclamer : I don't remember what the currency exchange charges, but it was a bargain.

you end up paying like an extra $25 or something going to the CE. Its not $3. Still, worth it in my opinion since you're in and out in 5 minutes.

Yeah $25 still would have been a bargain to me. The DMV people and I tend to not get along.

I went to the CE yesterday to do this, it's $25, plus I paid an extra $9 for some bullshit because I didn't transfer the title within a certain amount of time.

One thing about going to the CE is that if there is a mistake in the paperwork or the DMV just has a problem with what you want to do your paperwork will not go through and you lose the transaction fee through the CE.

I went to the DMV in Joliet tuesday. I was in the building for 4 minutes. No shit. The only reason it wasn't two minutes was because I had to write out the check.
