It was just iginiton locked my batteries on my alarm just ran out a couple days ago and I couldn't find any AAA batteries. I went to get lunch at Burger King in crestwood. I got off kept my gloves on the bike and my radar detector on. Key locked it went inside. I was in there for about 10 mins but the people that came in about 5 mins after me still saw it when they pulled up.

I walked out there was some old black couple parking where it was and im like did u just see a bike here and they said nope nothing. So I ran over to the cop that was sitting on the otherside in the drive through and got him to help.

Cops came filled out paper work but its gone. My liabliity coverage was just ending 4/29 and I was going to switch to full coverage.

Theres still 4,666.68 dollars left to pay for it.

if you finance through a credit card (aka unsecured debt) most of the time you get the bike title free and clear, hence the reason the interest rates are so high...

Ahh damn, sorry to hear that Ryan. That could have easily been me there. I went to see a movie in the Crestwood Theatres with the bike outside for 2 hours, I was lucky and decided to never do that again. When I go to fast food spots I try to put the bike where I can see it from inside the restaurant. Damn thieves .

yea good idea good2go.

I have a crazy idea I doubt it will work. My insurance company is way the heck down south. I was thinking since my insurance expires april 29 could I upgrade to full coverage and when my new policey takes effect at the end of the month say it was stolen then?

you will need a police report to collaborate it and they won't buy that considering the report would be written today.

you could do that but it would be insurance fraud and if you got caught you'd be out a lot more than what you owe on the bike.

step one would be to delete this thread though

Sorry to hear about the bike

crazy is right, insurance fraud is not something you want to get caught doing.

I think Fred was talking about how MC theives will leave a stolen bike in a parking lot or an alley for a day or two to make sure the bike doesn't have lo-jack. I'd be out driving around the area looking. It's a longshot but you never know
