I was all set to buy a RC51.. Rode 35 miles of the "good" galena roads on it and LOVED IT. Jumped on the 1000rr and rode it on 20 and there's no way I could not get it. WAY to much power to ever use on the street (but perfect for some one lazy like me). You really don't EVER have to shift out of 6th lol. This is definitely the most powerful bike I've ever ridden, blows the '02 and '03 gsxr1000's out of the water by seat-of-the-pants at least. As far as weight goes I can't tell the difference between this and my 636. One thing I'm really happy with is rider position feels almost identical with the RC51. I'm stuck at work today for 24 hours while it's friggin' beautiful outside and my new bike is in the dark..... cold...... lonely...... dirty garage.

Life's Journey Is Not To Arrive At The Grave Safely In A Well Preserved Body, But Rather To Skid In Sideways, Totally Worn Out, Shouting "HOLY SHIT... What A Ride!"

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.
