Off to the Dragon tomorrow!

Loading up the bike in the van tonight and then around 4am tomorrow I leave. Oh that ride is going to suck ass, 10 damn hours. Will be the longest I ever drove straight in my life. But I have a feeling the roads will be well worth it.

Piece a cake in a van. I do it every year on the VFR.

Don't speed on 129 north of deals gap or on 19/74 the smoky mountains expressway. Make sure you do the Cherohala.

You going to the NC side at all?

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

I was down at the dragon a two weeks ago and it was alot of fun, well worth the trip.

Have a good trip.

If your going through Louisville, KY there is construction underway on 74 I think.

If you run the Cherhola Skyway which has alot of sweepers you can take at high speeds becareful at the 10 mi turn. It's a blind downhill declining radius turn. There will be warnings on the pavement at the approach to the turn to warn you to slow down. There have been quite a few fatalities on that turn.

Make sure you're rested up before you hit it.

Thanks for the tip. Will probably be hitting many back roads over the weekend and then the gap during the week. Have a friend that lives less than 50 mi from the gap and he says weekends are bad on the gap. Lots of traffic and police in choppers gunning you from the air for speeding.
