Cool Six Flags Great America...

Hey I'm ditching out of work and going Monday to Six Flags, I need 2 tickets and was wondering if there are any promotions for cheaper tickets then at the gate?

I'm gonna call my Credit Union as they used to sell them, but figured I would also ask here.

Thanks in advance

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Good post. I just asked Janel this a.m. if she wanted to go but was trying to find a better deal than the average $5 off from a coke can.

I know some banks/credit unions sell them, just not sure if mine still does. It's been about 2 1/2 yrs since I've been there.

I just saw an article in the news this morning that said if you bring a car load you get $15.00 off each ticket. Call and check to be sure but, that was what I got from the news report.

"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard..."

Now I remember: you bring a car load, show a gas receipt from today, and get $15 off per ticket.

I'm sure Jewel offers a discount as well. It is usually at least 10.00 off.

$55 at the door, $45 online (there abouts)

I didn't think it was a rip off, a bunch of us played hooky last week and went there on a tuesday, we got on EVERY ride at least twice, raging bull 4 times, superman 3, and giant drop, I lost count. for $45 a person it wasn't bad, now to go on a saturday in the middle of summer is an absolute joke... you would be lucky to get on four of the major rides by the end of the day.

That's when they hit you for more money to cut in line. I did that on a Saturday years ago . It was either that or get on 3 rides the entire day . Then they have the lemonade man torture you with the lemonade and lemon chills when you're sitting in 90+ heat in a 3 hour line without shade. At the time the drinks were 4 dollars, I would have paid 10 bucks that damn day

Well too bad for all of you. If you had given me more time and if I knew you guys alittle better I probably could have secured some 1/2 price tickets (I used to work there and still have friends). And hey its really not a rip-off to get into the park. The rip-off occurs anytime you buy something in the park. The ticket price barely covers the cost of insurance and ride costs per person. If you really want to save money on a trip to the park, find a buy-one-get-one coupon, park at Gurnee Mills and walk to the park, eat at one of the resturants across the street and last but not least if you walk up to a food stand or any place that has a soda fountain and ask them for a "cup of ice water" they will give it to you for FREE. So those are my tips. Also leave your bags in your cars and don't bring in knives, and have cell fones out for the metal detectors (I worked security for 4 years).

thats just my .02

we always bring a lunch and put it in a cooler in the car... it saves us several dollars right there... and for parking, we had a friend who has a season pass, so free parking as well.

Jewel? Discount? What's she got to do with an amusement park?

The best thing to do is just get a season pass. If you think you'll be able to make it there twice during the season, it is worth it. It really isn't difficult to hit th park at least twice during the season. Also makes it a bit easier to go to the park on the busier days, as you won't be as upset that the park is crowded and you don't get to get on everything, as you can always come back on not cost any extra. If you think you'll be able to make it there 3 times, buy a parking pass too (although I'm not sure what parking passes cost at Great America, but a lot of SF parks are $25 for the year, or $8-$10 each time you go).

That being said, last time I was at Taco Bell they gave us a whole stack of $15 coupons, not sure if they are still handing them out or not. I was a bit surprised actually, since Taco Bell is a Pepsi company and SF normally attaches itself to Coke products.

They will use anyone that will take them Coke is just the best priced provider. You will notice that Coke ties themselves to McD's and they don't advertise shit for 6 flags.

Dunkin Donuts near me had save 15 dollars coupon good through April 29 to July 4. I grabbed 10 of them if you want some you can swing by and grab em.

also it says you can use each discount coupon up to 4 tickets that day.

That's what i did last week, when Terri and I went there. Last year however our Credit Union had even cheaper tickets.

That being said, 6 flags can suck my d*ck. Every year it gets worse. This year it's $7.00 for the smallest f'n locker, $15 for the parking space... One new ride, that isn't even that new. And water park is completely too small for the amount of people.

I agree. I got one a few years back. It was cool cause the chick i was dating lived in grayslake which is five minutes away. The nice thing about the season pass is you don't have to make a day of it when you go. Most of the times we went was around 8pm (you can park for free at that time) and the park would be almost empty You can ride all the rides you want with no waiting and you don't get all worn out from being there all day.
