I usually just go thru Southwest Airlines. they usually have good prices.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Not to thread jack but I have a question. I bought tickets like a month ago for a flight to cali in Sept. Well plans have changed and I want to fly somewhere else can I change my flight and date completely. Airlines is Southwest and bought them with my Discover card online through Southwest.

Should be able to depending on what rules applied. I had done this for an ex of mine changed her flight to leave at a later date. They tried to charge me more, but then didn't bother.

with southwest it depends on which tickets you purchased. They have several levels of tickets... if you purchased the cheapest seats, you might be stuck with them, if you purchased full fare, you can change it for a full credit.

There customer service is FUCKING terrible, there prices are often times higher then if you just call the hotel directly... I can't speak to flights, because when I traveled, we had a corporate travel agent that handled flying, but for hotels, we booked our own, and I always ALWAYS used Hotwire... i always had good sucess with them... I used to use orbitz as nothing more then a guide, once I found the hotel i wanted to stay at, I would just call the hotel directly, they would either match the orbitz price, or more often then not beat it... The only good things about orbitz are Chills, and the games that they have...

sorry chills, don't cuss at me from your mountain

http://www.cheaptickets.com
http://www.hotels.com (I think also has flights)
http://www.travelfleamarket.com
http://www.priceline.com
http://www.studentuniverse.com (not sure if this applies)
http://www.statravel.com (also for students)

If you google "cheap plane tickets," you'll see a huge list of sites. I'd recommend not to search too many sites, because in my experience, a lot of them have similar prices (within a few dollars). Hope this helps! Have fun on your trip.

And I haven't read this article yet, but it seems like it might help:
