For my Gap trip, just picked up...

http://www.newenough.com/nelson_rigg...nsuit_page.htm

and

http://www.newenoughhp.com/tour_mast...l_bag_page.htm

Anyone ever use either of these - I have heard good about both but always welcome more either good or bad

Good choice on the 2-piece rain suit. One piece can be a PITA.

No Shit? I head out of here at the butt crack of dawn on Sat the 17th to ride to Indy and meet up with a buddy - Throw the Busa on a trailer with his R1 and head down to meet jrock and his wild crew - We will be riding the entire week of the 19th all through that area - jrock is a mad mapper and has the whole fuckin thing planned out

Well, the good news is you won't freak out in the future when there are dark clouds in the sky . Bug's Fear Factor challenge . I would be scared myself to ride in the Gap in the rain. If you have to do that, you will be ready for any rain ride in the city

I am taking this trip as easy as they come - No need to push it where I do not feel comfy - I'll watch the others and enjoy - Now, if I can just get my bike back to running condition (the shit should be here today for a Sat install)

I am stoked and yes Ron, I will get some pics - It is the whole reason I bought that damn Sony Digi

Quick question, but what's the point of riding Deal's Gap in the rain? You'd be tip-toeing around those turns...so where's the fun?

"The Gap" is only one of the roads we are hitting on our week long ride - Our Cap't has shit planned all the way down to when he will allow us to shit

Hurroo

Obviously, we hope to have good weather the whole time. But rain will not spoil the day. Riding in the mountains in the rain will boost your confidence big time. Sure its scary at first, but then when you see all your buddies having fun, you relax and realize, hey I can do this.

And yes riding through Deals Gap in the rain or just in the wet takes all the fun out of it and suddenly it seems like work and you can't wait to be done. But that's only one day of the whole week and we'll watch the weather and pick the best day for it. Now the skyway in the rain and fog? Now that's a scary thought.

Last year we could not get on the skyway it rained so hard. We rode the 25 or so miles from Fontana Village to the entrance to the skyway in some really, really hard rain. And it was still raining when we got there and it was getting late. Then we saw a a couple big ass buzards eating some dead animal on the road by the sign at the entrance. Needless to say, we took that as a sign and turned around. When we got back we had to dodge downed trees and the power was out at the hotel until the next day. They even lost power at the dam the storm was so heavy. And here we are, two dumb ass yankees riding in it. Hahaha.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

But we just didnt need the extra room for an overniter...such as u will be going thru.

I also swear by my Frogg Togg rainsuit...hands down its the bomb of rain gear.
