I hate to be a naysayer, but I dont believe it. Thieves are cowards, and I doubt that when getting cought they all didnt just jump in the van and get the hell otta there, especially if they knew there were other guys in the house.

If its true, yes, it rocks but I doubt it.

That's a fast police response time. Could not tell which agency it was. Which person actually called the cops and got them there that fast?

The main point of the post was served, true or not: "OooOO you're such a badass, you rock" *ego stroke*

Aren't there cops on the board that work in DuPage? They should be able to confirm the story.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

You dont need to know police to confirm the story, just the city in which it occurred. Smells like BS to me.

One can also check the police blotters and public records for charges to confirm if it's legit.

Reminds me of a 'bad ass' I knew in college who weaved tales of epic proportions with just enough 'juice' in them to sounds like they could actually maybe possibly have happened. And he was such the MA in his own mind with no verifiable certificates, references, competition medals, etc to show for anything.

All of it was finally admitted to 4 years later of being all fabrications, but there was always a new willing audience to be right there with baited breath on the stories told and elevate him to a pedistal of greatness for being such the hero and defender of old ladies getting mugged, down'syndrome kids being picked on, etc.

Based on past experiences, that's why I have the inclination I do... I'd still like to know what jurisdiction this was to verify if it indeed happened or not. If it did, I'll eat crow.
