yup, I walked out in the backyard and seen her chowing down. I still don't know how she caught it. She's a 6 month old pit and the rabbit was full grown. Anyone care to come over for some rabbit stew?

She gets more than enough food/treats/bones/chew toys. It's just the nature of the beast. I actually feed her Innuva EVO which is the closest thing to a raw diet with dry dog food.

This one is blamed on pure instinct ... bet no one robs my house

highly doubt it considering she's been socialized since day one with kids and adults and other dogs. She just hasn't been socialized with other types of animals so they are all food and play toys to her lol

Be carefull with that dog.

My neighbor had one of those little chiuahas like the Taco Bell dog. I guy with a Pit was walking his dog on a leash and the thing just broke free and mauled the little chiuaha. It took all of a 2-3 seconds.

The guy claimed the Pit was social with kids and other dogs and had never attacked anything but rabiits and squirrels. He never thought it would attack another dog. He thought wrong.

I'm not saying you have a bad dog, just realize that you have a larger responability because of what your dog is capable of doing.

I don't want to really get into the whole pit bull debate but that would never happen with Bella. Being "social" with kids and dogs is COMPLETELY different than being socialized on a constant basis. A lot fo times people bring their cute little puppies everywhere and introduce them to other puppies and people but don't continue doing that when they become adults. Your dog can grow out of being "social" very easily.

no that means that Bella wasn't taught anything concerning bunnies. If I were to purchase a rabbit as a pet now, she'd learn how to socialize with them, instead of thinking they're food.

Plus this has nothing to do with her being a pit my friend has a bichon (sp?) that did the same thing

Puppies are naturally curious and all dogs have instincts

Not saying it has anything to do with being a pit or not. Every dog has insticts under the surface. The difference is that yours has killed and tasted blood. That tends to heighten those instincts on a go forward basis.

The tasting blood/raw meat jibberish is just a myth. Retards also feed them gunpowder and rub motor oil on their coats to make them tough...I'm pretty sure those don't work either.
