Nah, the most useful thing that has come from MS is the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and all the great things it does around the world.

Flight simulator baby!!!

I'd say that they built a dominant OS (walk into any corporation and show me a Mac network), or that Apple has a whopping 4% of the market as well as getting into the whole domination of the business world thing. (also let's not forget that Apple has those snazy commercials now which clearly point out the fact that my camera has a very tough time working with a pc) But if I said all that, then we'd just be back to that thread again

Can't wait for the new FSX to come out though. That should be pretty killer.

Fligth Simulator is kewl.
XBOX 360 is kewl.

Pretty long list of items. I don't dispute that they won the OS race, the question was what have they built that was kewl?

Nice leetspeak Kegger!

Might be nerdy...but I do a good amount of work in Access. So for me it's a nice low level programming tool

Ok it's a nice tool for sure. But you are much better off doing some of the things on a different platform. I guess by low level I meant 'nice and easy'. However when I build something like a packing slip, I'm much better off in a specialized environment such as Crystal Reports than Access...though I do run an import process through Access and link to it via Crystal. Anyway...Access is Kewl. So is Crystal, but that's not MS.

And come to think of it...the whole office suite is kewl. I've seen a lot of knock offs of Word, such as AbiWord, but it NEVER works as well. Of course this is because MS builds it to incorporate right into the OS. As much as I'd like to think that there's something better out there than Excel, Word, Outlook, or Access...it's tough.

actually the title of the article is what kills me "Understand how your kids communicate online"

More or less they are touting this as a way to keep an eye on your kids so that the scary internet predators don't come take them away.
