Local Supplier of RAM-MOUNT systems...

Hey all,

checking to see if anyone on the board knows of a local supplier of the RAM-mount ball systems for adding accessories to the bike.

TIA,

kaos

I looked all around and the ONLY place that had any RAM stuff was Dick's sporting goods. It was in the fishing dept. because they had mounts for the fish finders and such to mount to a boat. If I remember correctly, they only had the surface mount balls to be installed with screws. (huhuh...he said "balls" and "screws")

I ordered mine from gpscity.com. One thing I found out while on the site is that they make the handlebar mounts in two different materials. Basically the handlebar mount is the surface mount with a U bolt to attach it to the bars. Most places sold just the chrome one, whereas gpscity sold a stainless steel one for only a little more $$. But seeing that you have a BMW you might be able to find a specific BMW mounting option. I know Cyclegadgets.com has those.

In the end after driving all over to try and find them, it was just easier to order it online and get it in a few days.

no GPS...this is for a camera/video mount system...

BMW makes a separate cradle system for GPS...attaches elsewhere on the bike
