hmmm, can't say I'm surprised that he took a header into a windshield and almost died.

Forgot his helmet? Is that really possible? I mean I can forget my cell phone...but I'm usually pretty sure when I don't have a giant lid on my head.

"That day I wasn't, I forgot it. I literally forgot it," he said. "You know there are times that, people that have been making a big deal for the last couple years about me riding first of all, and then me riding without a helmet, but it's one of those things that I ride with a helmet also. I do a little bit of both. If you don't wear a seat belt every time you ride in the car should I label you as a person who doesn't wear a seat belt? And unfortunately I happened to not have it on that day because I forgot it in the basement."

What an idiot. I just can't see how people 'forget' to wear helmets. And wtf is this guy saying?? lol

Definately trying to play down the whole "I don't need a helmet" statements he made.

Good example of why I choose to wear a full face helmet.

Heres what he should have said:

"That day I wasn't, I decided not to. I literally said to myself, "no, Im not gonna wear it," he said. "You know there are times that, people that have been making a big deal for the last couple years about me riding first of all, and then me riding without a helmet, but it's one of those things that I rarley ride with a helmet. I do a little bit of helmet, and a lot of non-helmet. If you don't wear a seat belt every time you ride in the car should I label you as a person who doesn't wear a seat belt? And unfortunately I happened to not have it on that day because I decided to leave it in the basement.

"When in doubt, use full throttle. It may not improve your situation, but it will end the suspense."

It's easy to forget that he is only like 24 or 25 years old. I remember when I started riding at 24, I was capable of actually forgetting my helmet. I think I could have forgotten my ass if it wasn't following me around all the time.

At least he's handling things well since the accident.

He was just waaaaaaay baked and was on his way to the "Frazier" for some chilli and cheese fries - Hell, I'd forget mine too after a few 3 foot tubes and fries on the mind
