PGR Mission (Illinois) URGENT

URGENT URGENT URGENT

Petty Officer Jerry A. Tharp will be brought home to Aledo, Illinois on Tuesday evening. We have learned today that the family is requested that an honor guard stay with Jerry from Tuesday evening (late)(when he arrives back in the area) through Saturday's funeral services.

We are needing local area PGR, VFW, American Legion, retired military member to stand watch with Jerry for 3 hour watches (or longer if you desire).

I am asking anyone that can assist with this to email Max Howerter at [email protected] immediately so he can set up a Watch List and provide them with details.

This is a trusted mission and cannot be taken lightly. If you have veteran friends and know that they can provide the honor and respect that Jerry deserves, please inform them as well.

We are trying to get the Naval Reserve Center to assist in this mission as well.

Further details concerning the escort and funeral are forthcoming.

Thank you for the patriotism and giving the respect due this hometown hero. This community has sacrificed so much.
