Tuesdays and Thursday would be a good day to go. I would suggest 10:00AM as a good time. The DMV's all around have increased their speed in the past few years. The full day of Great America like lines are no more .

Right around closing is always the best time to go it seems. They finally get their asses in gear because they want to go home.

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

I usually go to the one in Plano right when they open and I never wait long. Last time we were a half hour early and they let people in so my buddy finished his written and riding bike test and we left before they were even supposed to open.

Yup

We were there saturday morning ~7:15, they let us in at ~7:30 and I took my written and riding and we walked out of there at 7:55. They don't even open till 8:00 (technically).

Go during the middle of the week, in the middle of the month. Get there either before they open or 30 minutes before closing.

Naperville was really quick the last time I went in (it was a Tuesday morning). they opened the doors 30 min early and I was out of there within 20 minutes. I was, however, only getting plates so it's a bit shorter, but when I renewed my licence I was in and out within an hour....that includes taking the written test.

I normally wait 2 to 3 hours in that one it's rediculous. There was only one time when I was out of there in 45 minutes cause the weather was really bad.
