best route to I-90 from NW burbs - rush hour

OK, In 2 weeks we will have to ride west on I-90 starting on Thursday, around 5-6 PM. What is the best way to get to I-90 from north and NW suburbs (Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills area) and avoid as much traffic as possible?

53 south to I-90 through Schaumburg - will probably suck big time at that time of the day.

What are my other options?
- RT 176 west to rt 20 - There are reports that 176 sucks at Waukonda/Crystal Lake area.

- RT 22 or Lake Cook to Rt 59 south to I-90 - I am not familiar with that area - so how is the rush hour traffic on Rt 59 southbound?

- Other suggestions?

Thanks

Lake cook sucks from Highway 21 through Arlington Heights road from 3:30-6:30pm. Once you get passed that it isn't that bad, but I don't go much past 53.

I've taken 53 south to go to Schaumburg a couple times lately and I-90 enterance ramps suck, regardless of direction.

176 will suck in Wauconda, then again in Crystal Lake. But going westbound onto I-90 off Highway 31 might not be too bad.

If you are meeting somebody for the ride, where is your meeting point? That might give us an idea of other options.

I am organizing this ride, so I decide where to meet, at this point - flexible.

If we pick the Lake cook to rt 59 option - the starting point will be Corner of Lake Cook and Arlington Heights or further west on Lake Cook - may be quentin, or something else. I am interested in how rt 59 is from lake Cook south to I-90?

Last time I drove that way, the majority of the traffic was going northbound on 59.

I-90 is managable up to the Elgin Toll, and starts to move after Randall.
