Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I love the commentary. First they are affraid they're about to ge their asses kicked, and looking for a way out saying go go go and shit. Then when they realize they are fine they say "i would of pulled over if there'd been a spot to pull over" just find it funny how people can make excuses up for anything, and find a way out of anything, like not stopping to help someone who just ran off the road in front of you. I'd hope if i fucked up and slip off the road in the mountains the car that saw it happen would stop and try to help.

I was thinking the same thing. what a bunch of assholes for just leaving the scene of an accident... isn't that illegal? and i'm sure that some guy that just ran his bike off of the road is really going to be worried about beating someone up rather than broken bones, or broken bike, or how he's going to get home, and what if he's bleeding externally or internally? you just never know. It was cool to see that not one single biker behind him PASSED and the ones that did stop right away RAN to his aid, rather than just be a lookie-lou. I wanna ride with THOSE kind of people! i sure as hell would stop if I was in a car and just watched a bike run himself off the road...

hell, i stop when i see a biker(s) pulled over to the side of the road, even if they look just fine. you never know if they're in trouble or not until you ASK. I've even pulled over (when I was on my sportbike) to ask a pair of big leather wearin harley riders to check and make sure they were okay. and I hope that some day it will pay off when I truly am in trouble and I need someone to stop and help me out.

Psst Dude,

These 2 rules will save you many times over.

1) buy good rubber and keep them properly inflated
2) trust your tires

He got scared and did the typical freeze/panic thing (brake and go straight)

Tony, as a Harley guy do you think if he had good tires and didn't panic that he could have completed that turn, then flipped it left for the next one around that spot he fell into? Have never ridden one, but I would think that if the cops use them, they should at least be maneuverable like that.

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....

One answer = NOOBIE!

Lets see, wrong place to pass (double yellow), wrong gear for the pass, too much speed gained, out of body position, slammed on rear brake, looking in the wrong area all = NOOB!

If he wasn't a dumb ass in the first place that would of never happened.

Actually, this makes sense. I think he means that he would have pulled over to let the bikes pass if there was a safe spot to do so. Most folks down there will actually do that for ya. Passing on the double yellow on the gap is pretty damn stupid.

damn, that sucks. I would feel worse for him but he's probably okay but his bike is probably totalled.

Apollo, it's not illegal for the cagers to leave. They didn't cause the accident, the dumbass who passed on a double yellow and decided NOT to turn and go straight caused his own accident.

Being a rider I probably would have stopped, but like they said there wasn't a good place to pull the truck over. If they left it halfway on the road there's a good chance someone would come hauling ass around the corner and rear end the truck.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I bleed GREEN

I think the gap is all double yellow so passing is tough but that guy was a total dumbass. Too hot for that road on that bike.
