Anyone have experience with Motorsource/Las Vegas Charlie’s (Naperville)

I found a bike for my wife out at Motorsource/Las Vegas Charlie’s in Naperville (on 111th), but wanted to get some opinions about their service department before buying any sort of maintenance package (I suck at wrenching).

Also, the bike we're looking at has a big dent (with paint missing) in the gas tank. Any ideas what that would cost to repair and re-paint... Ody?

Thx,
Slycer

Craig is still the service manager. I've never heard anything bad about their service. I bought my busa from Chuck the owner when he was at Schaumburg Suzuki. I do all my business there.

Craig left for a while but is back. I would generally make sure I speak with Craig about any work I'm having done.

Should I be concerned about it having a dent in the gas tank? It basically looks like someone used a crowbar to pry off the emblem. I doubt she'll have this bike for more than 2 years (until we decide to have kids).

I looked at a used Ducati they had there a while back. I asked him if it had ever been down, and the answer was a quick "no way" The bike had the end of the footpeg ground down, and had apparently been repainted, so I got out of there fast. That was my only experience with them.

I bought my bike when it was still triumph/suzuki of Naperville. Craig used to be the mechanic there, and when he was actually the guy doing the wrenching, I never had an issue with them. Since then, Craig left, two ownership changes, and then Craig came back as the service "manager" hes a good mechanic, but I do not believe he actually wrenches anymore, and have heard more than one horror story about the service dept. since then. I still buy my parts there and get good customer service and discounts to that extent, but will not have my bike serviced there. (I do most of my own wrenching anyway) I think 4&6 is the way to go in Skokie for your needs, and if you must have factory authorized for warranty purposes and you dont mind the drive I would recommend Liepold Motor Sales in Ottawa IL (Suzuki,Honda,Yamaha) Their service dept is top notch in my book.
