I need to find a place that has a similar decor to Sugar. Here is a picture. Sugar was a dessert bar on Kinzie that is now closed. Any suggestions?

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

I loved the look of Sugar.

Good suggestions above. Any others?

Bro - This comes down to how hard you wanna roll - What type of crowd you want and such - I am older than dirt so what is hip to me is prolly geriatric to you - I tend to wast more money and time in joints that are resturtants with a cool vibe for food and drink - I love the above mentioned and they are in my steady rotation - Carnival is on the list - Cabaret was fun but is getting stale - I shoot pool at Rockit quite often - There are a few joints on Randolph I frequent as well but again, they may not be hip to you

You can always do the Moda, Rhino, Le Passage, Reserve scenes as well

PM me and let me know if you are coming down and what your looking to do and I can shoot ya some ideas - I like passing my useless skirt chasin, line avoiding, bouncer tiping ways on to the younger generation - Lord knows I have invested enuff time in doing so

Just don't lose focus - Sip on yours while the slam theirs - Never be more sloshed than the target

Hunny - I use to hang at Narciese when there was no downstairs - Well before it was the place for the "Industry Crowd" - We would sit on 5 gallon buckets turned upside down in the sand and smoke and drink (and a few other assorted activities) with the owner and the mgr's - Man that goes back a bit

UD - Join the ranks - I watch my close friends fall for her and her friends just about every damn time we go out - She has some smokin friends that I get caught lookin at ALL THE TIME - Alas, she is cool with my dumb ass and she chuckles about it - As I close my eyes and imagine how cool I could be

Thanks for all the suggestions! Great stuff

Well, in the end, we didn't have to drive into the city for some night life. We ended up checking out this place in the burbs called the Red Roof Inn. I had the fish taco and she had the italian sausage.

Encore at the Hotel Allegro isn't bad during the week. I kinda like the bar at the W City Centre too. Checkout the Penninsula's 5th floor bar or the Sofitel's bar. That place rocks, best sidecar in the city for sure (Sofitel). So far as I'm concerned Tsuki is my fav Japanese in the city. It helps that it has a lounge next door and house music on Thursdays.

If you really want to blow your mind (and your wallet) check out Moto. Until I bought the duc I think that was the best money I've ever spent.

Tsuki is 1441 W Fulterton a bit of a hike, but well worth it. Tsuki is great. Good specials, great quality food. http://www.tsuki.us/ Like I posted tonight is house music and $5 martinis, tues is girls night (I think like 40% off for parties of all women) wed is guys night (same deal but for men).

Moto is a resturant, not a lounge, and they only have 3 menu's 5, 10, and 18 course. Expect to spend from $120-300+ per person and expect dinner to take 2-4 hours. http://www.motorestaurant.com/flash/index.html

Rockit bar and grill - has late hours and pool. Sky vodka lounge looks pretty cool. Rino on erie is the new hip place. Stone lotus is a trendy hot spot nowadays as well.. I love the japonais lounge after dinner there.. The Motel by japonais is also a nice place.

Rhino does not get going until; after 1:00 am though and is tough for guys to get into unless they bring hot ass with them or you grease the door guys big time - Stone Lotus is getting a bad rap as it is very small and they have attitudes already for how new they are

I look at it as investing in a hobby - Plus, before I had a serious GF, it was just the same as guys who spend money on dates to try and get laid - I just spent it on drinks and cover charges or door guy greasings to get in - It is all the same when you break it down
