Deal's gap until 9/24

Ok crew, I leave tomorrow evening for a week long excursion to ride the Tail of the Dragon. We're trailering the bikes out there (yeah I'm a pussy, what of it!?!), and should arrive by midday Saturday (visiting the Corvette Factory first). I was wondering if any of you veterans had any advice as to where we should go and what we should do while out there. The guy who arranged the trip has a pretty good idea of what's planned, but he's a first timer too. So let me know what I should hit up, what I should avoid and which of the strippers have the clap, etc. Any advice would be great, thanks!

Ride ... eat, ride ... eat, ride ... eat ....repeat

Don't sweat not riding down there ... there are no trophies for racking up boring miles on the bike

God there are so many great rodes - Blue Ridge Parkway is 400+ miles of great roads with great pavment - Chahuyga (sp) Skyway is a blast - Rte 28 - Rte 121 - Rte 220 and I have only been there once - The gap is fun for a run or so but it is tight stuff for 11 miles where as roads like the Parkway are twisties at 60 mph + (tought to me by a good friend) for over 400 miles

All depends on how hardcore you wanna be

Ah, If your going to the corvette museum in bowling green your going a bit out of the way (unless you like the way scenic route). If you are stopping in that area or anywhere in southern esp eastern KY just ride off the highway. Too many good routes to mention. Lots around lake cumberland, KY. have a great trip, take some pics.

Jrock knows all the roads but 28's good and 441 through the smokey national park is fun (slow but nice). Actually every road is pretty great down there - have fun.

Just got done with my first day here, hot damn those are some tiring roads. I'm physically exhausted, nothing but switching from side to side for about 30 minutes each way. Lotta fun though, I'll post pics in the next few days. Cheers!

Enjoy all the roads down there. The Gap is a great road but so are just about every other one. Trailering is the smart thing to do. You wind up tired and your rear tire squared off by the time you get there if you ride. Have a great time.

SmartDrug - ha ha, I know where you guys stay! Thank God for the pole building, and hot tub. Last time down the trans in my truck took a dump, so between riding, eating, and drinking, we pulled it out and had it rebuilt. Then there was the pocketbike laps around the pool table, the spudgun, and the insane home made bottle rockets.

I love riding down there. Talk to any of the locals for any route's not already mentioned. Pick a direction and ride, you can't go too wrong.

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.
