My 1st Year Anniversary on CLSB!

Well folks, I have to say THANK YOU!!

Thanks for a wonderful year here with ChicagolandSportBikes! I came stumbling on here a year ago today. I had been riding motorcycles my whole life and street bikes for 30 years. I have learned more in the past 12 months about bikes, about how and where to ride, and about the track than I did in all the prior years. I credit CLSB and its members for all of that.

CLSB introduced me to track riding, and with that, an introduction to NESBA. Between the CLSB family and the NESBA family, this has just been an excellent year getting to know people, and having a great time doing something that we share together. I have had the opportunity to make lifelong friends, to learn from and be mentored, and even been given the opportunity to share some of what I have learned with other riders.

Big shout outs go to:

Ken and Tony - for this wonderful board. I don’t think you have any clue how much effect that this board has on some of its members lives. Mine has changed significantly as a direct result of it.
Kruz – for getting me into NESBA
Zeus-9R & Underdog – for hosting me at my first NESBA event
RonHix – For coaching me at Autobahn (my first event), the bump to I and getting me hooked
Marshall & the CRs – For the coaching and the tows
Tom Larson – for the bump to Advanced (and being an all around great guy)
Garth & Fred – For coaching me and giving me an opportunity to help others

I know that I am still new to this whole game, but have really appreciated the opportunity to be associated with such wonderful teachers, who love the sport. Some of these guys have been serving for years, and have more to share and to teach, than I will ever learn.

CLSB members have been a blast to spend time with (on and off the board), to road trip with and to party with. The continual flow of information and hashing things out on the board just continue to serve as a great resource for information, entertainment and humor.

Anyhow, I know it might be silly, but I really appreciate this place and all that it has given to me this past 12 months.

Thanks guys (and gals),

Brian

I'm just glad you changed your screenname early on. I'd hate to see a ton of "Thank you Nemesis" threads on here. It'd just be odd.

I understand the feelings, I just joined a little over a year ago two, and I've pretty much shut down many of the other things I used to do because of CLSB and motorcycles. I've never changed the oil of any vehicle before, thanks to this site, I'm changing my oil monthly, bleeding brakes, changing sprockets and chains, etc. Excellent source of information, and good people willing to help others out .

Guys, thanks for the good wishes. That was not at all the intent of the thread, I jsut wanted to share my appreciation of all of you and this wonderful place that you all have created and contributed to here.

I am sitting here enjoying this beautiful night, next to hot pit at Gingerman, with Greg and Rich (and Rich's son, Steven). Gonna be a FUN weekend, hardly anyone here. Anyone got a free weekend, come on out and take advantage of some empty track! I am stoked for it!
