The Greatest PC of all time...

I can't say I agree with it... their judgement seems to take into consideration quite different factors than mine would

I loved that game we used to play that in grade school, I wonder if they have newer versions.

holy hell oregon trail was awsome

what was that bush league program where you programmed the turtle to move around the screen? I think he made lines too. It was called Legos or Lalos or something like that. I think it was called Logos

I haven't seen a 5-1/2" floppy in years (insert your own dick joke here )

I remember those things when I was in sixth grade I think (might have been the IIe).. I thought they were crap then. The IBM PC XT (8088 baby!) we had at home was the shit. 640k, CGA graphics, 20 meg hard drive. That thing ran for 10 yrs and never broke.

Back when they could use lead-solder.

The silver based shit now does not handle temperature flux near as good, that's a major reason why shit seems to up and die more today.

The article relegates the C64 to an also-ran... Thus... I disregard it entirely. 30 million sold units cannot be wrong.

Stupid list. Didn't realize that pcworld had such morons working there. Why don't they call it '25 machines we enjoy remembering' then it might be an ok list. Except for that VAIO in there. I doubt that POS even compares to an Apple II
