Chills old man............

......... I know you state the "3 day out rule" but hows about turnin some dials and readin some graphs and given us the low down on Sat and Sun from a weather standpoint forn the "Quad States" and our little planned jaunt across them

You are a kind person for doing such and on your deathbed, you shall receive total conciousness (sp)

Great Caddyshack reference.

Well, looking at the maps and models its looking iffy. There's only a 30% chance of showers in the area on Saturday and a 20% chance on Sunday. Thursday I can give you a much better idea of what's going on. I'm anxious to know, too, since Chills doesn't ride in the rain.

I've got a better idea what the weather will be like:

There's a deep low pressure over the central Rockies right now along with an accompanying cold front. This Low is going to pass very close to Chicago on Friday. This will bring rain and some thunderstorms. The back end will still be passing over us Saturday and Saturday night. If this Low moves fast enough the good weather behind it could be over us Saturday. If it slows at all we'll be in for some crappy weather.

Weather update:

Things are getting worse. The low isn't moving directly east, it's going more NNE and pulling the warm and cold fronts together into an occluded front. It looks like Saturday will be a day of lots of rain. Winona is forecasting 50% chance of showers and Chicago 70% with strong thunderstorms.

Sunday looks iffy but better than Saturday. 20% chance of showers mainly in the first 1/2 of the day.

I'll update again tomorrow afternoon.
