Crack the Code

Here's a little brain teaser for anyone looking for a challenge. Decode the message below using the supplied key.

The key is 'SATURN'

I keep inserting the crest of my ring into the reader but it's not decoding it

There are several symbols that have multiple meaning depending on which base tables one uses. The crossing ones I can find off hand are Greek and more modern (anglo-saxon). For example, the L and box [] are greek (astrological based) denoting 45 degrees and 90 degrees respectively, while the > has multiple references which can be something as simple as 'opening up' or mathematically for inequality.

...the keyword of saturn though makes me lean more towards greek and astronomy as the base. on the right path so far?

Everyone Exaggerates

The funny part about this word play is that worship of Moloch was worshiping saturn (secret god of the occult world, aka satan) During translations in ancient times, some Jewish scribes miswrote its vowels, and it was further read as 'Shame'.
