He's a lucky sumbitch. Talk about target fixation. You can see he's looking at the opposite guardrail instead of through the corner. Thank goodness he didn't get hit.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

We had a guy killed 2 summers ago in an incident exactly like this.

One rider totally blew a corner and went head on toward a van in the van's lane. The van freaked and cut hard to its left in order to keep from hitting this rider, but unfortunantly lost control and slid sideways directly in front of several other riders. A couple of these other riders hit the van. Some were seriously injured. One was killed. The one who was killed was an excellent rider, very safe and skilled. It sucked.

My response was simple, I started going to the track.

hey guys, look at the slow mo portion again, dont watch the rider, look at the ground and all the tire marks and tracks, there was quite a few numb nuts who over rode the line and ended in opposing traiffic and one that swung too hard over to avoid. VERy interesting.

I kept yelling in my perverbial helmet "LOOK OVER THERE (to the right)!!!! LOOK OVER THERE!!!

...and then his buddy lets him go back ahead to lead again!!! Tells you what kind of an arrogent asshole this guy must be! His buddy's thinkin' "I better let him lead again...It's gonna be annoying enough to hear about how his race compound just isn't making proper contact...how his suspenion must be off..."
