Surfers riding tsunami waves

F'n Flash... I couldn't get a link, so...
CLICKY ...and then type "How to Survive a Giant Wave" in the search field at the bottom. The clip pops up at the left of the magical Flash dial-a-media window.

Check out the last surfer... it's incredible how much speed he picks up as he rides the wave! Freakin awesome.

...And the helicopter almost gets hit by the wave.

It's there. They just didn't make it easy to link to. Cycle through and look for the wave.

I just saw people actually surfing on Lake Michigan while I was out riding on Sunday. It was a beach in Wilmette of all places... I was blown away that it was even possible.

Now these guys arent hanging 10 on massive pipelines.. but there were pretty good size waves.. enough to ride anyway. I asked one of them.. and they told me to check out www.thirdcoastsurfshop.com surfing season starts now to the lake freezes and then from when it melts to about May.

I might have to check this out.

surfline is the place of surfing vids.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."
