Tracking down witnesses and/or a hit and run driver

Not sure if this should go in Open or Ticket advise but...

One of my buddies got taken out last night (he's a little sore but ok Full gear FTW)

Here's what happened. Cage #1 turned left in front of him, he managed to brake enough to avoid him, Cage #2 followed cage #1 through the intercetion and BAM. Both cars took off. Same story we hear way too often.

I already recommended he file a police report (which I assume he did at the time)

I'm working on getting a description and location so we can keep our eyes open.

How would you guys recommend trying to find witnesses and hopefully eventually tracking down this ass-munch who fled the scene?

To add insult to injury the cop issued HIM a ticket for failure to yeild because the other guy took off.

Traffic light camera's, nearby store/gas station camera's are the only things that come to mind. Good luck! and that sucks about getting a tix for getting hit, that's bs.

Cop must have been a true moron, the person going straight has the right of way. Even if you "friend" was speeding, the other driver crossed his right of way by making a left turn and was the one who failed to yield.

"When in doubt, use full throttle. It may not improve your situation, but it will end the suspense."

I told him to take it to court and make a fool of the cop for wasting the judge's and his time.

Also already told him to check if there were any stores/gas stations/traffic camera's in the area that could help. Told him to get me a description of the vehicle and location of damage to local body shops and to get me a description of the vehicle and location of damage so we can all keep an eye open and call it in if we see anything that matches.

As said, cameras up and down the roads from the directions of travel. Where exactly did this happen? What direction was your friend riding, what direction were the cars coming from and turning onto what road what direction?

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....

Sounds like your buddy blew a yellow light and admitted to it.

Not smart to race a yellow with people in the oncomming left turn lane, (if that's what happened to him)

Good luck, hope you find the other driver

Eric
