My bike has been totaled.

Well after getting into an accident a month ago my insurance company decided to total my bike. I won't go into the details of the accident (mainly since I don't know what happened) but the darn thing ended up on my leg breaking it in three places. According to the insurance company the damages totaled out to $4300 and the bike was only worth $5300 so they decided to total it. I am just glad i got to ride some mountain twisties before all this. Well it was nice riding with all of you when I was out here.

Glad to hear you made it through, and I hope you're healing up quickly. Are you planning on buying a new ride now?

Not for awhile I was actually trying to sell the bike since I am going to school and can't afford it. So until I get out and back into the working world then I'll get another.

Looks like your insurance company needs to invest in a calculator but I guess it worked out to your benefit.

Hope you're healing up well.

Sorry to hear about it bud. Glad you're ok. Try to buy the bike from the insurance company, then part it out on ebay

The bike didn't look that bad to me either as laid on the ground and watched a cop ride it to get it off the road. The shop that did the estimate said that the frame had twisted and had to be replaced. Also the swing arm and the hinge bent that was another major and there were some other problems but I can't remember, when they put a titanium rod and screws in your leg they give you some good pills. Surprisingly the State Farm said that the salvage value of the bike would have been $3000. You know I would have loved to take the bike back or to have it fixed but the truth is that with the accident I have to pay off the deductible on my health insurance now plus I haven't been working for the last month and a half so between rent, car, and my roommate bailing on me I really needed the money from the total. So when I graduate and start my career I will worry about getting a new bike then. Thanks for all the get wells.

Man that sucks. At least you are insured and not out any money. Good luck and heal up quickly.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Don't worry I am originally from McHenry and I only moved recently for school. The shop I sent it to is one of the largest in the Denver area and is an authorized Yamaha shop with State Farm, Colorado Motorsports.
