Sad Day for the Busa

She is up for the winter in a nice warm garage a few Bldgs away

I know this board is filled with die hards who ride all winter and to you, my hat is off - We also have a few in nice warm places that can ride year round and to you, I am jealous

But for now, I am sad. Jim, just hold me please?

Come on Bug, today was fine to ride. There is no rain, and it is temp is above 32, that is more than enough reason to ride to work .

I am working from home and did ride it a block over to put it up - I do not like cold tires and cold pavement - I like to ride hard and those two just don't allow for that

I'm never putting it up. Every nasty day this week I impatiently waited for a break in the weather, was pissed yesterday at the weatherman because they said it would rain and it didn't, could have ridden yesterday

I feel your pain Bug, my RR is put away for winter. She's got the gas treatment and fresh antifreeze. Cold tires and pavement don't work for me either.

How about a picture of you and the lady?

I felt this way in the first year of ownership, but after awhile i kinda lost the urge to ride every chance i get. Plus, a smart man once told me that after awhile you'll start to have restrictions about riding, and that time has come.

I winterized my bike for about 6 weeks already. Gone are the days of riding in 30-40 degree weather. It just doesn't do a body good anymore.

Sadly, I don't even miss riding right now. We'll see if that changes in the spring. May try the track only thing next season.

You need more meat on yer bones. I dunno, riding isn't as fun as it used to be, although, that last run we did was pretty fucking awesome, good way to end the season. Next year i'll prolly ride a bit more since my cousin is moving back...

I've already gained 10lbs so far. I'm 130+ lbs now. Yesterday, I ate Brian's remaining 40% of his cheesecake. I just don't have the riding mentality anymore. But then again, that could change when the weather is nicer.

I've brought it down a notch too. I only ride above 30 degrees, instead of 5 degrees before , and don't ride in cold rain anymore unless I have to .

It's already sold my lack of short term memory friend. I got a lot more than $2K for it.

Really? - I know we are all diff but for me it just keeps getting better - I learn more every yr (thx jrock for my 2006 learning) and I feel more and more comfy and alert with every passing yr - Next yr for me might just hold in store a Motard - Yet to tackle that style so why not - Done MX all my teen yrs - Tracked SV's for a few yrs too in my late 20's - Now that I am old, I want to combine the two and see just how bad I can fuck myself up
