Sylvia v Monson, extremely boring and went all 5 rounds. Sylvia won.

Hughes v GSP, GSP did some skullfuckin and knocked out Hughes in round 2. Hughes' face was a mess.

GSP v Hughes.

Round 1, George goes for a leg kick... hits Hughes in the nuts.

Pause while Hughes picks his nuts up.

Later in Round 1, George goes for a leg kick... hits Hughes in the nuts, HARD.

Pause while Hughes picks his nuts up, and the ref talks to GSP saying "I know this isn't intentional (it clearly wasn't), but watch it".

4:50 into Round 1, GSP lands a killer Superman punch, stuns Hughes... maybe knocks him out. GSP jumps down, starts the ground and... DING

Round 2, GSP is LIGHTNING fast, catches Hughes on the chin a few times while he tries for take-downs. Eventually lands a killer boot to the head and stuns Hughes. GSP then drops down for some good 'ole ground and pound and the ref stops it with a slightly bloody Hughes.

All in all, pretty good fight. The first nut kick was clearly an accident. There will be some debate on the second (I think it was an accident). The fight should've ended at the end of Round 1, Hughes got lucky.

I'll give the rematch to Hughes... I think the fight with BJ Penn took too much out of him. However, GSP was one of the fastest people I've ever seen (he caught 2 of Hugh's leg kicks, and bitch slapped 'em for trying).

Hughes said GSP came to him and "apologized like an 8 year old" for his comments in the octagon. I wonder if he thinks GSP delivered an ass whoopin' like an 8 year old...

3rd declaration: In such extreme circumstances, the law is by definition inadequate. To shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law, to pursue natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive-it is an emotional response. Vengeance serves no larger purpose. Society does not benefit from vengeance. Violent men are not deterred by acts of vengeance. The only appropriate response to their actions is the one I have chosen to pursue: a course of purposed, intentional violence. Violence intended to instruct, as much as destruct. A course, in a word, of punishment

Those were inside leg kits and the first one did not hit his nuts...the second one slid up and made some contact but it was not a small fraction of the kick power which. Keep in mind these guys have cups on and yeh the initial feeling hurts like hell but it goes away quick. A fighter kicked in the nuts can take as much time as we wants to recover.

My prediction...Hughes retires in 2007.

I like him alot, but I like GSP better. He took a beating and I cant seem him ever beating GSP.

I saw that coverage...it was more for show and Im sure the "Im not impressed with your performance" comment was also semi-staged.

I watched the one Jim posted. Pretty good even with no sound. Hughes was dominated. I wonder how the rest of the card was.

There were a couple good fights, but overall...it was pretty crappy.

Hughes wasn't into the fight from the get go. Looked a little nervous going in.

It was definitely for show, it was on tv. But I don't doubt for a second he didn't mean it.
