One more fellow G driver Congrats!

I've had the '03 model for about year and a half now; she is a bitch, but she's fun to drive .

If I may suggest - few words of advice (please ignore them if you feel like it, since it wasn't asked for ):

1) Careful in the beginning - I've got more speeding tickets / stops in first three months of owning the G than in three years prior . It is not even the color (mine is titanium grey), but it is the overall look. I used the Escort 8500 radar detector until some POS broke the window and stole it, but it wasn't helping much anyway (and pissed off one cop when he saw it). It showed though, that as soon as LEOs saw the car, they turned on the radar . Seriously, I've been regularly doing 80-90 on highways when I had the A4 and it was sort of OK. It doesn't fly all that well with the G. Now I know why red Corvettes drive at speed limit . You can still have a lot of fun, but gotta be more careful . I don't know, may be it's just me.

2) If you plan on driving in the winter, get snow tires. Not all-season, but dedicated snows. There're different opinions on that but if you try it once, you'll know the difference.

3) If you will be changing tires yourself, be very careful when jacking up the car - the spots where you're supposed to put the jacks under are very small. It was my personal idiot moment, but ahem... I managed to raise the front floors when I put the jack in the wrong location. Cost me dearly to fix. Funny thing is - it was invisible from the outside, but when I got in the car I found the floors turned into big bubbles .

4) This one will probably amuse people who are used to driving powerful cars but it was a big surprise for me. Other drivers on the road have no idea how quickly you can accelerate, especially at the highway speeds. They would check the mirrors, see that you're pretty far by their standards and start changing lanes without signaling or double-checking the mirrors. If you decide to accelerate and pass them at the second prior things may go wrong.

---

Damn, this car is so much fun Once again - congrats!
