New addition to the family

I was about to leave my house to get some food when my brother drives up and flashes his brights at me and when I look in the cab and what do I see? I see a three month old blue heeler puppie. Another name for the breed is an austrailian cattle dog. He's a pretty sweet dog, he spent most of today exploring the house. We wanted to name him something with the Bears and we were going to go with Lovie but went with Hunter (Hillenmeyer). We haven't had a dog since I was little and I planned on getting one when I moved out. Here are a few pics.

OMG how cute!!!!!!!! It looks like he has both blue and red genes shining through at the moment.

They are a very high attention demanding but awesome and loyal dog.
They also have some very strong genetic tendencies that are fun to train around, but you can also turn it around on them to your advantage

As for size, they can go anywhere from 40-70 lbs (depending on genetics and how much you feed him). Our red heeler's 3 years old and hovering right around 42 lbs for the past year.

Very Very cute puppy...

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....

I have a great training place up in palatine, that trained Rusty my Golden and Jimzx9r's dog. I was VERY impressed with thier results. Get him in while he's young.

But you and Jim still shit on the carpet.

Congrats on the puppy!!! VERY cute. How did you go without a dog for so long? And great idea giving him a Bears-oriented name. You'll always be able to remember the year you got 'em then.

Damn that is one adorable pup! Congratulations.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
