Hot Tub Repair

Does anybody know of any hot tub repair services or hot tub repairmen that are looking to moonlight. I already spoke with turbo tubs in downers grove and I dont want to pay 120 an hour. Please PM me if you can help.

Thanks
Andy

That's who I used about 7 yrs ago. Overpriced but did great work. I needed a new pump, heater and blower (bozo prior owner let it freeze and crack).

What do you need done? PVC work, electrical, natural gas, install, crack repair?

It has an electrical problem. the jet motor and the heater both stopped turning on at the same time. it started acting up after it overflowed while i was filling it. Turbo tubs told me it is the circuit board and mine board is too old to diagnose. So they just want to replace it with a 600 dollar board. I didn't pay that much for the hot tub so I want to find someone who will actually try and fix it.

And that film was not shot in my tub. the only thing that accidently goes in the tub is beer and smokes.

this tub has two pumps and two four way air switches. the switch that controls the auxilirary pump and light works properly. the other switch that controls the jet pump and the heater doesnt work at all. Im going to try and switch the relays for the two and see if that helps.

Definitely eliminate all of the user-replacable things first. Are these 'air-switches' and you have a hole in the tube not allowing the 'push' to build up enough pressure to activate the switch?

I had a very simple problem like that once. Replaced the 15 cent plastic tube and Voilla!

the switch works correctly I can watch it spin through its four different positions. there are three relays that look like this http://www.robinsonspaparts.com/stor...s/PICT7439.JPG
that I am going to try shuffling around to see if one went bad.
When I got it the previous owner let mice live in it and a piece of shell got stuck in the air switch. As I typed that last sentence I wonder if a piece of shell might have gotten into one of the relays. Ill have to check it out when I get home.
